Brad Amodeo is the founder and lead consultant at Layered Solution Partners LLC. He has over
30 years of information technology and business process experience.
While a high school senior working in his school's computer lab as a systems operator for a mini-computer
that generated classroom tests, he was approached by a local business that did electronics manufacturing
for data communications. He happily accepted a role as a software developer and that is where his
journey began.
It was at that company that he had the opportunity to not only learn sofware development skills, but also
learn the manufacturing business including production scheduling and inventory management. He also learned
back office operations including accounting, purchasing, and payroll.
After high school he attended the University of Illinois at Chicgo, majoring in Information and Decision
Sciences while still working part time at the manufacturing company. Brad continued to expand his technical
and business knowledge working in a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, finance, eCommerce,
location based services, and marketing research, taking on more responsibility and eventually moving into management.
However he never fully let go of his hands-on technical responsibilities and that decision would serve him well.
Additionally he had the opportunity to do extensive international travel as part of his project work, and has
built lasting relationships across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
It is this mix of technical skills and business knowledge that gives Brad a unique perspective on how to use technology
and business process improvement to take organizational and departmental effectiveness to new heights.
